The Governor of Riyadh sponsors the ninth mass wedding ceremony of the Insan Association

In an evening embodying the spirit of social solidarity and national unity, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region, sponsored the ninth mass wedding ceremony organized by the Riyadh Region Orphan Care Charity Association, "Insan," on Sunday evening. The ceremony, held under the theme "The Joy of a Groom 9," celebrated the marriage of 106 sons of the association, amidst a notable attendance of officials, supporters, and the grooms' families.

Parental care and an extension of continuous giving

The patronage of His Royal Highness the Prince of Riyadh for this annual event underscores the great attention the wise leadership – may God support them – pays to orphans, and its constant commitment to providing them with all means of a dignified life. The “Insan” Association is a pioneering model in charitable work in the Kingdom, having enjoyed continuous support since its establishment, enabling it to transition its services from direct care to sustainable development, empowering orphans and preparing them to become active members of society.

A development project to build stable families

The ceremony began with the national anthem and a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech from the Director General of the Association, Mohammed bin Saad Al-Muharib, who emphasized that the group marriage programs at “Insan” are not merely fleeting celebrations, but rather a comprehensive development project aimed at empowering young people to build stable families and marital lives based on awareness and responsibility. Al-Muharib noted that these initiatives have resulted in the formation of more than 3,000 families over the past years, reflecting the profound social impact of these programs.

In a related context, Al-Muharib explained that the association is celebrating the wedding of 282 young men and women this year, as this night has been dedicated to celebrating 106 grooms, while the wedding of 176 of the association’s girls will be celebrated the following day, which highlights the comprehensiveness of the support provided to both genders.

Effective community partnerships

The ceremony featured a visual presentation titled “A Promise Extending to Build Tomorrow,” showcasing success stories and the impact of the mass wedding initiative in transforming giving into a lasting responsibility. In his address, Abdulaziz Al-Anzi, CEO of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Rajhi Endowments, commended the association's significant achievements, emphasizing that the endowments' support for this initiative stems from a deep belief that caring for orphans during pivotal stages of their lives is a humanitarian investment that contributes to building a cohesive society. He also praised the guiding role of His Royal Highness the Prince of Riyadh, who spearheaded a developmental journey that has moved orphans from a state of need to one of productivity.

The joy of the newlyweds and honoring the supporters

In their speeches, the newlyweds expressed their immense joy at the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar, considering his attendance a great source of support as they embarked on their married life. The ceremony concluded with His Royal Highness joining the grooms in the traditional Saudi sword dance, a touching display of paternal affection, before honoring the sponsors and taking commemorative photographs. This brought to a close a night of joy that reinforces the values of compassion within Saudi society.
