The Governor of Riyadh is following up on the procedures for hosting stranded Gulf nationals in the Kingdom

In line with the government's ongoing commitment to the well-being of its citizens and to reaffirming the deep fraternal ties between the two nations, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Region, are closely monitoring the work of the specialized committees within the region's governorate responsible for managing the affairs of those stranded at airports. This close monitoring aims to ensure that all necessary services are provided to citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries who were unable to depart due to travel restrictions, and to ensure their comfort and well-being.
An embodiment of the concept of one body and historical depth
This step is not merely a routine administrative procedure, but rather a reflection of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's long-standing policy and history of treating citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries as an integral part of the Saudi social fabric. The directives of the wise leadership—may God protect them—are an extension of the historical legacy established by the leaders of this country in strengthening Gulf unity, whereby GCC citizens are treated in the Kingdom with the same respect and consideration as Saudi citizens, in good times and bad. This approach is clearly evident during times of crisis or unexpected changes in flight schedules, when the Kingdom opens its arms to welcome its brothers and sisters into their second home, affirming that geographical borders do not separate the members of the one Gulf family.
Procedures for hosting stranded individuals and ensuring their comfort
In compliance with the generous directives, the Riyadh Region Governorate has intensified its field efforts to ensure that the process of hosting stranded citizens serves as a model of care and attention. The established committees are working around the clock to overcome all obstacles, from securing suitable accommodation and meals to providing healthcare and psychological support when needed. These efforts include close coordination between various governmental and service sectors to ensure that our Gulf brothers spend their stay in Riyadh with dignity and respect among their families and friends, until suitable and safe conditions are in place for their safe return to their countries.
Humanitarian dimensions and regional impact of the initiative
These actions carry far-reaching implications that extend beyond the local level; they send a reassuring regional and international message about the efficiency of crisis management in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its ability to contain emergencies with a high level of humanitarian concern. The direct attention of His Royal Highness the Governor of Riyadh and His Royal Highness the Deputy Governor reflects a high-level commitment to responsibility towards their brothers, thus strengthening the diplomatic and popular ties between the GCC countries. This event confirms to the entire world that the Kingdom places human beings and their dignity at the forefront of its priorities, and that Gulf unity is a tangible reality that translates into noble actions and stances when needed.
