Riyadh Airlines opens the door to a scholarship program that leads to employment through a promising track

The relevant authorities announced today the opening of applications for the employment-starting scholarship programs offered by “Riyadh Airlines”, within the “Promising Path”, which is one of the main pillars of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program for Overseas Studies. This strategic step comes in close cooperation with the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, with the aim of qualifying young national cadres to work in the growing aviation sector.
A promising path: A new vision for scholarships
This announcement comes within the framework of the new strategy for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program, launched by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, which aims to enhance the efficiency of human capital in new and promising sectors. The "Promising Path" program focuses specifically on sending students to study in fields required by major projects and vital sectors in the Kingdom, ensuring a complete alignment between educational outcomes and the actual needs of the labor market. This guarantees scholarship recipients secure employment upon their graduation and return home.
Riyadh Airlines: An airline with global ambitions
This step is particularly significant given the employer: Riyadh Airlines, wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund, is one of the most important strategic projects in the Saudi aviation sector. Established to lead a new era in the air travel industry, the company is preparing to launch its first commercial flights by 2025. With the aim of connecting Riyadh to more than 100 destinations worldwide, investing in human capital now is a crucial proactive step to ensure its fleet and future operations are staffed with qualified Saudi talent according to the highest international standards.
Strategic impact and future of logistics
The importance of this program is reflected both locally and regionally through its support of the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, which seeks to solidify the Kingdom's position as a global logistics hub connecting three continents. Training young Saudis in specialized aviation fields contributes to achieving the Kingdom's goal of reaching 330 million passengers annually by 2030, in addition to increasing air destinations to 250 international destinations.
This collaboration between the Ministry of Transport, Riyadh Airlines, and the scholarship program is a model of integration between government agencies and the private sector to empower Saudi youth. The program provides a golden opportunity for students to join a giant national institution that contributes to diversifying the non-oil national economy and enhancing the tourism and travel sector in the Kingdom.
