This decision was made based on alerts issued by the National Center for Meteorology , which warned of heavy rainfall affecting the Madinah region. The center explained that the weather system would begin affecting the region at 8:00 AM on Sunday and continue until 11:00 AM on Monday. Safety priority and official instructions

The Saudi Ministry of Education and universities prioritize the safety of students, with regulations granting university presidents and regional education departments the authority to suspend in-person classes or switch to remote learning based on field data and reports from relevant authorities. In this context, concerned authorities, including the Civil Defense, urge everyone to stay away from valleys and floodplains during periods of rainfall and to adhere to instructions issued through official channels to ensure the safety of lives and property.
