The Kingdom's efforts in receiving Russian pilgrims and facilitating procedures
The General Directorate of Passports has confirmed its complete readiness to receive pilgrims for this year's Hajj season. The Directorate is working to facilitate entry procedures for the pilgrims by utilizing all its human and technological resources. Passport control centers at all international ports of entry—air, land, and sea—have been equipped with the latest advanced technology. The Directorate is also committed to providing qualified personnel who speak the various languages of the pilgrims, ensuring effective and rapid communication that contributes to completing procedures in record time and with the highest degree of accuracy.
Historical relations and the development of the number of pilgrims coming from the Russian Federation
The arrival of pilgrims from the Russian Federation represents a continuation of a long history of Islamic relations and cultural exchange. Historically, Muslims in the regions that now comprise Russia began their Hajj pilgrimage centuries ago, enduring the hardships of travel along ancient trade routes. With the development of bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Russian Federation in the modern era, the number of Russian pilgrims has witnessed remarkable and continuous growth. The Russian Hajj Mission maintains ongoing coordination with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to ensure the provision of the best possible services for pilgrims, from issuing electronic visas and arranging accommodation and transportation in Mecca and Medina to facilitating the smooth and peaceful movement of pilgrims during the stoning of the Jamarat and the Tawaf.
The regional and international impact of the successful organization of Hajj seasons
The Kingdom's success in managing the millions of pilgrims and receiving them from all corners of the earth is of paramount importance and has a far-reaching impact at the local, regional, and international levels. Locally, this success reinforces the Kingdom's position as the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and supports the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to enrich the religious and cultural experience of pilgrims and increase the capacity to accommodate them. Regionally and internationally, this meticulous organization highlights the Kingdom's exceptional ability to manage the world's largest annual human gathering peacefully and securely, reflecting Islam's tolerant message of unity and peace. Furthermore, the cultural exchange that takes place during the Hajj season contributes to strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and understanding among Muslim peoples from different continents, leaving a positive impact that extends beyond the completion of the Hajj rituals and the pilgrims' return home with unforgettable spiritual memories.
