This overwhelming turnout reflects the festival's remarkable success in attracting visitors from across the Kingdom and the Gulf region, solidifying its position as one of the most prominent seasonal events in the Eastern Province.
Promoting tourism and quality of life
This remarkable success of the festival comes within the framework of the Kingdom's efforts to bolster the tourism and entertainment sector as part of the goals of Vision 2030, specifically the Quality of Life Program. The Qatif Governorate is historically known as a lush agricultural oasis, making the hosting of such events a natural extension of the region's green identity. The festival has contributed to transforming the Al-Mashari Corniche into a major tourist attraction, boosting economic and tourism activity in the Eastern Province and providing a prime example of urban development that integrates natural beauty with community-based entertainment.
A million flowers adorn the Qatif Flower Festival
The fifth edition of the Qatif Flower Festival by its enchanting aesthetic touches, with the waterfront adorned with over a million seasonal flowers, meticulously arranged to create breathtaking works of art. Among the most prominent features that captivated visitors and photographers was the giant rose bouquet, in addition to the Greek-inspired designs of the waterfront café, lending a cosmopolitan feel and a unique cultural blend to the venue's identity.
Entertainment diversity and economic activity
The festival wasn't just a visual display of flowers; it offered a comprehensive entertainment and cultural program featuring over 75 diverse performances. These included folk performances reflecting the region's heritage, a children's theater, exciting fire shows, interactive competitions, and a spectacular fireworks display that lit up the Corniche sky. On the economic front, and in support of the local community, the venue provided space for 150 artisan and craft stalls, giving local producers and craftspeople a unique opportunity to showcase and market their products to hundreds of thousands of visitors. Additionally, a rare bird park added an educational and recreational dimension for families.
Integrated work system
The Mayor of Qatif Governorate, Engineer Saleh bin Mohammed Al-Qarni, affirmed that the record-breaking attendance figures reflect the community's confidence in the quality of the events offered. He noted that the festival's success is the fruit of extensive organizational efforts, with 200 male and female volunteers participating in crowd management and site organization, ensuring smooth traffic flow and a safe and enjoyable experience for all. The municipality dedicated all its resources to guaranteeing the site's readiness and providing support services, emphasizing its continued commitment to offering high-quality initiatives that contribute to humanizing cities and raising the standard of living for residents and visitors.
