Statistics of the Qassim Health Cluster at Prince Nayef Airport 2025

The Qassim Health Cluster announced significant achievements in health security and prevention through the health monitoring center at Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz International Airport . Official statistics revealed that more than 484,000 international health procedures were carried out during 2025. These intensive efforts aim to strengthen the Kingdom's air entry points and enhance preparedness to deal with any cross-border health risks, thus ensuring the safety of citizens, residents, and visitors.

Accurate statistics and exceptional efforts

Data released by the cluster showed that medical teams efficiently handled 400,354 cases of visual and thermal screening of travelers, reflecting the accuracy of early detection of any suspected health symptoms upon arrival at the airport. The center also implemented 57,474 precise procedures related to the application of international health requirements, ensuring full compliance with global standards.

Regarding pilgrims, the center gave special attention to Umrah pilgrims, screening 4,897 arrivals to ensure they were free of infectious diseases. The airport's medical clinic provided treatment to 5,683 beneficiaries, performing 1,240 medical and emergency procedures to address urgent cases.

Strengthening community immunity and health security

The group's efforts were not limited to screening and monitoring, but extended to proactive preventative measures. A total of 14,326 seasonal influenza vaccination campaigns were conducted, contributing to increased community immunity and reducing the spread of respiratory infections. Specialized teams also handled 286 respiratory triage cases and 140 emergency cases requiring urgent medical intervention, in addition to carrying out 24 ambulance transfers of critical cases.

The context of health transformation and Vision 2030

These impressive figures directly reflect the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and the Health Sector Transformation Program, which focuses on the principle of "prevention is better than cure" and promoting public health. The Qassim Health Cluster is a pioneering model in implementing modern healthcare, aiming to facilitate access to and improve the quality of health services, particularly at border crossings, which serve as the first line of defense against epidemics and communicable diseases.

The importance of preventive measures at international airports

Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz International Airport holds strategic importance as a major gateway to the Qassim region and surrounding areas, connecting the region to numerous international destinations. Therefore, the implementation of 133 disinfection and sterilization operations for aircraft (aircraft spraying) is a vital measure to ensure a safe travel environment. These rigorous procedures contribute to strengthening the Kingdom's position as a leading nation in global health security and underscore its commitment to the World Health Organization's International Health Regulations, thereby enhancing confidence in the Saudi travel and tourism sector.
