Public Security launches new services via Absher, including security cameras
In a new step that enhances the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s leadership in the field of digital transformation and smart government services, and under the generous patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, His Excellency the Director of Public Security, Lieutenant General Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Bassami, today launched a package of quality electronic services through the Ministry of Interior’s electronic platform “Absher”, during a ceremony held at the headquarters of the General Directorate of Public Security in Riyadh.
Details of the new services: comprehensiveness and diversity
The launch included a wide range of services aimed at simplifying procedures for individuals and the business sector, and the new services included the following:
- Air rifle services: These allow beneficiaries to submit reports of loss or damage to air rifle licenses electronically, in addition to the service of authorizing the carrying of a functional weapon via the "Absher Business" platform, and reviewing related reports via "Absher Government".
- Motorcycle and vehicle services: Motorcycle authorization and ownership transfer services have been launched with ease, in addition to vehicle reports and cards services that include vehicle display card and report of dropped vehicles via “Absher Business”.
- Security camera services: These are among the most important additions to the business sector, as they allow the issuance and review of a certificate of compliance with the installation of security cameras, in addition to compliance management services and electronic statements.
