The first flights of pilgrims for Hajj 1447 AH have arrived in Medina

The General Directorate of Passports at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah welcomed the first flight of pilgrims for Hajj 1447 AH arriving from the sisterly Republic of Indonesia. Entry procedures for the pilgrims were completed smoothly, easily, and with peace of mind, thanks to a comprehensive system of technical and human services designed to provide a distinguished and comfortable spiritual experience from the moment they arrive in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to begin their blessed journey.
Full readiness to receive the guests of God for Hajj 1447 AH
The General Directorate of Passports has confirmed its complete readiness to receive all pilgrims for the current Hajj season and facilitate their entry procedures by utilizing all its available resources, both personnel and equipment. Passport control centers at all international ports of entry (air, land, and sea) have been equipped with the latest advanced technology, including biometric document detection devices and expedited processing systems. These centers are staffed by highly qualified personnel who speak multiple languages to facilitate communication with pilgrims and efficiently meet their needs. These personnel work in close coordination with various government and service agencies at the airport to ensure smooth passenger flow and prevent overcrowding.
Historical depth and continuous development to serve pilgrims
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia possesses a long and distinguished history of caring for the Two Holy Mosques and serving their visitors. From the era of the founding King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud – may God have mercy on him – to the present era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and his Crown Prince, the Kingdom has placed serving pilgrims and Umrah performers at the forefront of its national priorities. This continuous development aligns with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which aims to host increasing numbers of pilgrims annually while enhancing the quality of logistical and digital services provided to them at all entry points. Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah has undergone successive expansions and technological upgrades, enabling it to accommodate millions of passengers with high operational efficiency.
The regional and international impact of successful Hajj seasons
The Kingdom's efforts in organizing the Hajj pilgrimage are widely appreciated regionally and internationally, given its exceptional ability to manage millions of pilgrims safely and securely. Indonesia is one of the largest Muslim-majority countries in terms of the number of pilgrims arriving annually, so the successful arrival of its first flights is a positive indicator for an exceptional and smooth Hajj season. Innovative initiatives such as the "Makkah Route" initiative contribute to completing pilgrims' procedures at their home airports, reflecting Saudi Arabia's global leadership in utilizing technology to serve humanity and facilitate the performance of religious rites for all Muslims worldwide.
