Prince Mansour bin Khalid presents his credentials to the King of Jordan as Saudi Arabia's ambassador
In a high-level diplomatic ceremony, His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of Jordan received today at Basman Palace in the capital, Amman, His Highness Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Farhan, where the ceremony of presenting his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan took place.
During the official meeting, His Royal Highness Ambassador Prince Mansour bin Khalid conveyed the greetings and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Prime Minister, to their brother, His Majesty King Abdullah II, and their wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the brotherly Jordanian people. For his part, the Jordanian monarch entrusted His Royal Highness with conveying his greetings and deep appreciation to the Saudi leadership, emphasizing the strength of the ties that bind the two kingdoms.
Reception and Ceremonial Proceedings
The presentation of credentials ceremony was marked by time-honored royal protocols, with the Jordanian honor guard performing a military salute to His Highness Prince Mansour bin Khalid upon his arrival at the Royal Hashemite Court, and the music playing the royal anthems of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in a scene reflecting the mutual respect and great appreciation that Saudi diplomacy enjoys in Jordan.
The ceremony was attended by a number of senior Jordanian and Saudi officials, including His Excellency Yousef Al-Issawi, Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court, and His Excellency Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates. Also present from the Saudi side were Deputy Ambassador Mohammed Mounes and Colonel Ali Al-Mutairi, the Saudi Military Attaché in Jordan.
