Princess Nourah University's Future Bridge Exhibition: Integrating Education with the Labor Market

In a strategic move reflecting its commitment to empowering women and promoting scientific research, the College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University the “Bridge to the Future” exhibition on Monday at the university’s Natural and Health Sciences Research Center. This event serves as a vital link between academic output and the actual needs of the Kingdom’s evolving job market.

The “Bridge to the Future” exhibition is not merely a fleeting event, but rather part of a broader educational and professional movement underway in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, aligned with Vision 2030 , specifically the healthcare transformation and human capital development program. Through these initiatives, the university aims to bridge the gap between scientific theory and practical application, ensuring the graduation of qualified national talent capable of addressing the challenges of the growing healthcare sector.

The exhibition highlighted the importance of integrating education and professional practice, aiming to:
- Linking the college's outputs to the requirements of employers.

The exhibition witnessed widespread participation, with approximately 300 female students from the college showcasing their academic and research achievements. The event included a scientific research competition for the best project and presentation, fostering a spirit of healthy competition among the students.
The exhibition also included various accompanying sections, most notably:
- Career Day Corner: With the participation of approximately 28 leading health organizations, this provided students with the opportunity to communicate directly with employers and explore available job opportunities.
- The Scientific Posters Corner: which included more than 50 projects and research in the fields of rehabilitation and health sciences, which were subject to extensive discussions by specialists to evaluate their quality and applicability.
Strategic initiatives to build the future
Commenting on the event, Dr. Hadeel Al Saleh, Dean of the College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, explained that the exhibition represents one of the strategic initiatives that reflects the college's commitment to integrating scientific research with professional development. She noted that the event enables students to smoothly transition from the protected academic environment to the competitive job market.
Al-Saleh added: “Combining the Scientific Poster Day and Career Day in one event, with broad participation from hospitals and health centers, reflects the great confidence that these entities place in the outputs of Princess Noura University.”.
