Adoption of the new strategy of the High Commission for Industrial Security with 20 initiatives

In a strategic move reflecting the wise leadership's commitment to strengthening national and economic security, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the High Commission for Industrial Security, approved the Commission's new strategy. This step marks the beginning of a new phase of institutional work aimed at protecting national assets and vital facilities according to the highest international standards.
A qualitative shift in the concept of industrial security
This strategy is of paramount importance given the pivotal role played by the High Commission for Industrial Security in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is the body responsible for developing policies and regulatory plans to protect vital petroleum, industrial, and service facilities, which form the backbone of the national economy. The adoption of this new strategy aligns with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which seeks to create a safe and stable investment environment that attracts foreign capital and fosters the development of advanced industries.
Strategy objectives: an attractive environment and local expertise
The strategy primarily aims to develop the regulatory and legislative environment for industrial security, thereby contributing to building an attractive investment climate. It also focuses on developing local expertise in this critical sector, relying on effective strategic partnerships with relevant local and international stakeholders. Through this vision, the Authority seeks to establish a culture of security and safety as a core national value, ensuring business sustainability and protecting lives and property.
The three pillars and the future of protection
The new strategy was built on three main pillars, from which nine precise strategic objectives branch out:
- The first pillar focuses on unifying national governance for industrial security and improving the beneficiary experience, to ensure that security, safety and fire protection services are provided in accordance with best global practices.
- The second pillar: It is concerned with establishing a culture of security and safety and creating promising investment opportunities, in addition to enabling strategic partnerships that enhance the Kingdom’s position in this field.
- The third pillar aims to raise the level of compliance and radically shift towards a "proactive prevention" approach to risks, instead of merely reacting, in all facilities under the supervision of the Authority.
Ambitious initiatives for an integrated system
To translate this vision into reality, the strategy included a package of more than 20 high-quality initiatives. These initiatives include empowering non-profit organizations specializing in industrial security and developing an advanced research system to support innovation in safety solutions. These initiatives underscore the Kingdom's commitment to achieving a comprehensive, leading, and sustainable national industrial security system capable of addressing future challenges and protecting the significant developmental gains the country is witnessing.
