National Water Company completes projects in Qassim worth 48 million riyals to serve 20,000 beneficiaries

National Water Company announced the successful completion of two vital water and wastewater pipeline and network projects in the Qassim region, at a total cost exceeding 48 million Saudi riyals. This achievement is part of the company's ongoing strategy to enhance the efficiency of water and environmental services and expand coverage to serve citizens and residents across the Kingdom.

Strengthening infrastructure in line with the goals of Vision 2030

These projects are of paramount strategic importance as they directly contribute to achieving the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 , which prioritizes quality of life and the sustainability of water resources. For years, the Kingdom has been working to restructure the water sector to ensure its sustainability, and through these projects, the National Water Company aims to keep pace with urban expansion and increasing population growth in the Qassim region.

The importance of these projects is not limited to the service aspect only, but extends to include environmental and health dimensions; the expansion of sewage networks contributes effectively to eliminating the environmental damage resulting from traditional septic tanks, and protects groundwater from pollution, thus enhancing public health and the safety of the local environment.

Details of the projects and beneficiary neighborhoods in Buraidah and Ar Rass

The company's statement detailed the geographical and technical scope of the completed work, which included:

  • In the city of Buraidah: Water networks and lines with lengths exceeding 65 kilometers were implemented. These works aimed to serve several residential neighborhoods, including: (Al-Yarmouk, Al-Rawabi, Al-Ghadir, and Al-Rawaq).
  • In Al-Rass Governorate: The work focused on the environmental aspect by implementing sewage networks and lines with lengths exceeding 40 kilometers, to serve the neighborhoods of (Al-Shananah and Al-Sina’iyah).

These projects are expected to benefit more than 20,000 new people, as they will contribute to enhancing the operational reliability of the water supply, reducing interruptions, and raising the overall efficiency of the networks.

Invitation for beneficiaries to link services

In closing, the National Water Company urged all citizens and residents in the aforementioned neighborhoods (Al-Yarmouk, Al-Rawabi, Al-Ghadir, and Al-Rawaq in Buraidah, and Al-Shananah and the Industrial Area in Ar-Rass) to apply for water service connections. The company emphasized that the application process is streamlined and fully digital, allowing beneficiaries to submit their requests through official channels, either via the National Water Company mobile application or the company's online portal (e.nwc.com.sa), to immediately benefit from the advanced infrastructure that has been completed.
