The Muslim World League condemns the terrorist bombing of the Islamabad mosque

The Muslim World League expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the heinous terrorist bombing that targeted a mosque in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad , which resulted in a number of casualties and injuries, in a scene that contradicts all religious values and human norms.
In an official statement issued by the General Secretariat of the Muslim World League, His Excellency the Secretary-General, Chairman of the Council of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa , condemned this heinous crime. He affirmed that these terrorist acts targeting peaceful worshippers in mosques reveal the ugly face of terrorism, which is devoid of all religious and humanitarian values. Those who perpetrated these acts showed no respect for the sanctity of human life, nor for the sanctity of places of worship, which God has made havens and sanctuaries for humanity.
Targeting places of worship: A context of unacceptable violence
This incident comes amidst security challenges facing the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, where extremist groups frequently target civilian gatherings and places of worship to destabilize the country and spread fear among the population. Targeting mosques is a terrorist tactic aimed at inflicting maximum human and psychological damage, a tactic categorically rejected by the international and Islamic communities, who affirm that terrorism has no religion and represents no divine message.
Reports and monitoring of the regional situation indicate that such attacks aim to undermine the social fabric and incite strife, but the awareness of the people and the solidarity of official religious institutions, foremost among them the Muslim World League, stand as an impenetrable barrier against these destructive schemes.
Islamic and international solidarity with Pakistan
Dr. Al-Issa reiterated the Muslim World League's firm and unwavering stance in rejecting and condemning violence and terrorism in all its forms, manifestations, and pretexts, regardless of its motives. He emphasized the League's, and by extension the Muslim world's, complete solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan , its government and people, in confronting all threats to its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens, and its support for all measures taken to combat the dangers of extremism and terrorism.
The Secretary-General concluded the statement by offering his sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the families of the victims, and to the government and brotherly people of Pakistan, asking God Almighty to have mercy on the deceased and grant them paradise, and to grant the injured a speedy recovery, and to protect Pakistan and all Muslim countries from all harm and evil.
