Execution of 3 terrorists in Sharqia – Interior Ministry statement

The Saudi Ministry of Interior issued an official statement announcing the execution of three citizens in the Eastern Province, after they were found guilty of committing serious terrorist crimes that threatened the security and stability of the Kingdom, including targeting security headquarters and security personnel.

Details of the crimes and names of those convicted

The ministry explained in its statement that the convicted individuals are: Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Hussein Al Abu Abdullah, Musa bin Jaafar bin Abdullah Al Sakhman, and Reda bin Ali bin Mahdi Al Ammar, all of whom are Saudi nationals. Security investigations revealed their involvement in forming a terrorist cell and joining a hostile foreign organization with the aim of destabilizing internal security.

The charges against them included: directly firing on security personnel, vehicles, and security headquarters, which constitutes a blatant attack on the authority and prestige of the state. They were also convicted of possessing weapons and ammunition for use in their criminal activities, as well as manufacturing explosives, reflecting premeditation to inflict maximum damage on lives and property.

The judicial process and enforcement of the ruling

The Ministry of Interior confirmed that security forces apprehended the perpetrators, and the investigation led to their indictment for these crimes. Upon their referral to the competent court, a ruling was issued confirming the charges against them, and they were sentenced to death by way of discretionary punishment due to the gravity of their actions and their corruption on earth.

The ruling was upheld by the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court, and a royal decree was issued to enforce the legally mandated punishment. The sentence was carried out on Wednesday, 11 Rajab 1447 AH, corresponding to December 31, 2025, in the Eastern Province.

The Kingdom's strategy in combating terrorism

The execution of this sentence comes within the framework of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ongoing efforts to eradicate terrorism and extremism. The Kingdom adopts a strict security and judicial strategy that shows zero tolerance for anyone who attempts to harm the security of the nation, its citizens, or residents. These sentences serve as a deterrent message to anyone who might consider joining terrorist organizations or taking up arms against the state.

Saudi laws, derived from Islamic Sharia, emphasize the preservation of the five necessities, foremost among them the preservation of life and security, as security is a fundamental pillar of development and stability in the region. This measure reflects the government's resolve in upholding justice and protecting society from chaos and organized crime.

The Ministry of Interior concluded its statement by emphasizing the keenness of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to maintain security and achieve justice, while warning that the legal punishment will be the fate of anyone involved in such criminal acts.
