Graduates of the Moderation Fellowship commend Saudi Arabia's efforts in promoting moderation

In a move reflecting the leading role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in serving the issues of the Islamic world, a group of graduate students participating in the “Moderation and Tolerance Fellowship” program expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation for the great efforts made by the Kingdom to consolidate the concepts of tolerance and reject extremism.

This came during the graduation ceremony for the second cohort of the program, held at the Islamic University of Madinah, under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh. The graduates affirmed that this program represents a beacon of knowledge and thought, aiming to cultivate a generation of preachers and scholars capable of confronting the challenges of the age with enlightened thinking.

Strategic context and the Kingdom's vision

This program comes within the framework of the Kingdom's tireless efforts, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman - may God protect them - to promote the approach of moderation, which is a fundamental pillar of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. Through these qualitative initiatives, the Kingdom seeks to correct misconceptions about Islam, present the true image of the tolerant religion based on mercy and justice, and combat extremist ideas that threaten the stability of societies.

International praise for the program's outcomes

Dr. Mohammed bin Hussein Ashour Al-Dulaimi, a PhD graduate from the Republic of Iraq, expressed his pride in joining this prestigious academic institution, praising the unwavering support provided by the wise leadership for scholarship programs. He noted that the visit of His Excellency the Minister of Islamic Affairs to the participants was a significant morale booster, emphasizing that the program's outcomes promote the values of peaceful coexistence and follow the example of the righteous predecessors in addressing contemporary issues.

For his part, Hussein Mohamed Al-Husseini from the Arab Republic of Egypt, who won third place in the program, explained that the experience was not limited to the religious aspect alone, but included a comprehensive system of modern skills. He added, “The program provided us with knowledge tools for managing da'wah projects and utilizing modern technology, enabling us to convey the message of Islam in a civilized manner that keeps pace with the times.”.

Sustainable global impact

In the same vein, student Abdulwahab Mohammed Ali Badi from Yemen affirmed that the diversity of participants, representing more than fifty countries, reflects the universality of the Kingdom's message. He pointed out that this cultural diversity under the umbrella of the Islamic University contributes to the exchange of experiences and the building of bridges of communication between Muslim peoples.

This event is of particular importance given the pivotal role played by Saudi educational and advocacy institutions, such as the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, the Islamic University, and King Abdulaziz University, in shaping the intellectual awareness of Muslim youth around the world, thus making these graduates ambassadors of peace and moderation in their countries.

The graduates concluded their speech by praying for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to enjoy continued security and stability, appreciating the great services it provides to Islam and Muslims in all parts of the world.
