Mobile clinic in Hajjah: Medical services for 294 beneficiaries

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, continues to provide vital medical support to its brothers and sisters in Yemen. In this context, the mobile clinic in Hajjah treatment and preventative services to 294 beneficiaries between April 29 and May 5, contributing to alleviating the suffering of displaced families and local communities in the Al-Deir area of ​​Hayran District, Hajjah Governorate.

Details of the medical services provided by the mobile clinic in Hajjah

The specialized clinics received hundreds of emergency and chronic cases in one week. The infectious disease control clinic saw 165 patients who received the necessary care to limit the spread of seasonal epidemics. The emergency clinic received 40 individuals, the internal medicine clinic treated 69 patients, and the reproductive health clinic provided services to 5 cases. In terms of health awareness and education, 15 individuals benefited from preventive guidance aimed at promoting community health awareness.

Regarding support services, the nursing services department attended to 60 individuals, and medications and medical supplies were dispensed free of charge to 274 people. In the context of environmental protection and public health within the camps and targeted areas, two activities were carried out specifically for the safe disposal of medical waste and refuse.

These humanitarian efforts come at a time of extreme hardship for Yemen's healthcare sector, a consequence of the years-long crisis that has rendered more than half of the country's medical facilities inoperable. Hajjah Governorate, particularly its remote areas and displacement camps, faces a severe shortage of medical personnel and essential medicines, making the mobile clinic a true lifeline for residents who lack the financial means to access central hospitals in major cities.

Since its establishment, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has been launching and operating these mobile clinics as flexible and rapid solutions for emergency medical needs, equipping them with the latest medical supplies and necessary medicines to ensure the provision of a service comparable to that of established health centers.
