Details of Ahmed Al-Shammari's disappearance in Al-Qaisumah and an urgent appeal for help
The Enjad Search and Rescue Team, a volunteer organization specializing in assisting those stranded or missing in desert and rugged areas, announced that it had received an urgent report of the disappearance of 33-year-old Ahmed Mahawish Al-Shammari. According to the report, contact with the missing man was lost in Al-Qaysumah Governorate, which is part of Hafr Al-Batin Governorate, on July 9, 2026 (corresponding to 9/7/1447 AH). His whereabouts remain unconfirmed.
In an official statement, the team revealed details of the vehicle the missing man was driving at the time of his disappearance: a white Toyota Camry with license plate number (JGL 8825). The relevant authorities and the missing man's family urged anyone with any information, no matter how small, to come forward and help solve the mystery of his disappearance.
The role of the Enjad team and volunteer work in the Kingdom
This announcement comes as part of the extensive efforts undertaken by the “Enjad” Search and Rescue Team, a Saudi volunteer team accredited under the umbrella of the Civil Defense. The team comprises thousands of professional volunteers deployed across the Kingdom. It is distinguished by its fleet of equipped four-wheel-drive vehicles and wireless communication equipment, in addition to paragliders and drones used to patrol vast desert areas inaccessible by conventional means. These efforts are an integral part of the Kingdom's humanitarian and volunteer work system, which aims to save lives and support security forces in their missions.
The nature of the region and the importance of community solidarity
Search operations in Hafr al-Batin Governorate and its surrounding areas, such as Qaisumah, are of particular importance due to the region's geography. These areas are characterized by open desert expanses and numerous roads, which can make locating missing persons more difficult if they have strayed far from populated areas. Historically, Qaisumah has been an important transit point, resulting in heavy and multi-directional traffic.
Under these circumstances, the importance of community solidarity, a hallmark of Saudi society, becomes evident. Social media plays a pivotal role in disseminating photos and information about missing persons, often contributing to faster searches. Enjad urges citizens and residents in the Eastern Province and surrounding areas to pay close attention to the specifications of the vehicle in question.
The team urged everyone to cooperate and report immediately if they see the vehicle or the missing person, or if they have any clue that may lead to him, by calling the unified number for the Injad team (920018911), or by contacting the security authorities directly, asking God to return him to his family safe and sound.
