In a move reflecting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to empowering future generations, the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation (MiSK) actively participated in the third edition of the International Labor Market Conference , a leading global platform that brings together a select group of decision-makers, ministers, leaders of international organizations, and experts from around the world. This participation underscores the Foundation’s pivotal role in shaping policies that serve young people and prepare them for the changing times.
A global platform for dialogue in Riyadh
The King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh hosted the launch of this prominent event, which is gaining increasing importance year after year in light of global economic shifts. The Kingdom's hosting of this conference is part of its ambitious vision to strengthen its position as a global logistics and economic hub, and as an incubator for ideas that address shared challenges. Discussions focused on anticipating labor market challenges through international cooperation and the development of innovative solutions, reflecting the Kingdom's leading role in addressing global development issues.
Misk's participation: A vision for empowering youth
Through its informational booth and dialogue sessions, the Misk Foundation was keen to offer in-depth insights into the realities of youth in the labor market. The Foundation did not merely participate; it made significant contributions by showcasing its pioneering programs and exploring partnership opportunities with local and international entities. These initiatives align with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which prioritizes the development of human capital, particularly among youth, to ensure the building of a prosperous and diversified economy.
Youth voices at the forefront of the event
Believing that youth are the primary stakeholders, Misk Foundation provided an opportunity for several beneficiaries of its programs to participate in dialogue sessions, sharing their experiences and aspirations with the world. Among them were Khalid Al-Thukair, a beneficiary of the program preparing students for elite international universities, and Ghada Al-Habib from the Global Voices program. These participations contributed to highlighting the capabilities of young Saudi talents who are able to compete and engage in dialogue on the international stage.
"Building Resilience": A Roadmap for the Future
In presenting practical solutions, Misk Foundation reviewed the findings of its important research report, "Building Resilience Among Youth." The report highlighted the fundamental challenges facing the emerging workforce, particularly those related to rapid digital transformation and climate change. Through the report, the foundation offered a set of urgent recommendations and policies aimed at transforming these challenges into promising opportunities, building a generation that is resilient, adaptable, and capable of succeeding in a constantly evolving job market, thus enhancing young people's readiness to lead the future economy.
