A qualitative leap in security services
This strategic project is an extension of the comprehensive development process underway at the Ministry of Interior. The center aims to unify the operations rooms of various security and service sectors under one roof and with a single emergency number (911). Following the laying of the foundation stone, His Highness the Minister of Interior received a detailed explanation of the project's components, which is a cornerstone of the national strategic plan to unify emergency numbers in the Kingdom, thus facilitating access to assistance for citizens, residents, and visitors in emergency situations.
Link to the Kingdom's Vision 2030
The Unified Security Operations Centers (911) are among the most important initiatives of the Ministry of Interior, implemented in cooperation with the Quality of Life Program, one of the programs of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. This initiative aims to enhance the efficiency of emergency response by leveraging the latest global technologies in communications and crisis management. The role of these centers extends beyond simply receiving reports; it includes data analysis, promoting immediate coordination, and facilitating information exchange among relevant agencies, thus ensuring swift and accurate handling of various incidents.
Geographical expansion and technological development
The establishment of the Al-Jawf center comes as a continuation of the successes achieved by the 911 centers in the Riyadh, Makkah, and Eastern Province regions. These centers are distinguished by their advanced work environment, which relies on artificial intelligence and geographic information systems to accurately locate callers. They also feature qualified personnel who speak multiple languages to communicate with diverse segments of society. During the visit, His Highness the Minister viewed a presentation showcasing the operational halls and the expected workflow within the center, which was designed according to the highest international standards to ensure the sustainability of security and safety.
This project underscores the great attention the state pays to the development of peripheral and border regions, and to providing equal and high-quality security services throughout the Kingdom, which enhances the sense of security and contributes to supporting economic and social development in the Al-Jawf region.
