Media Bridge at the Saudi Media Forum: Interactive Experiences and a Promising Future

The Ministry of Media is launching its unique participation today through the “Media Bridge” platform, as part of the fifth edition of the Saudi Media Forum, which is being held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, from February 2nd to 4th, under the theme “Media in a Changing World.” This participation underscores the pivotal role the Kingdom plays in shaping the new media landscape in the region.
Context of the event and its strategic importance
The fifth edition of the Saudi Media Forum marks a pivotal event in the history of Arab media, as Riyadh has become a hub for media decision-making and a destination for experts and content creators from around the world. This edition is particularly significant as it comes at a time when the media sector is undergoing radical transformations driven by artificial intelligence and digital technologies. The forum's objectives are perfectly aligned with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which views media as a strategic industry that contributes to economic diversification, enhances the Kingdom's soft power, and conveys its true image to the world.
The importance of the event is not limited to local affairs, but extends to include a regional and international impact, as the forum provides a platform for exchanging experiences and building partnerships that enhance the efficiency of Arab media institutions, which contributes to developing media content that is able to compete globally and keep pace with rapid changes.
"Media Bridge"... A Journey Towards the Future
The Ministry of Media designed the “Media Bridge” space to be more than just an exhibition pavilion; it represents an exploratory journey that takes visitors toward the future of Saudi media. The space focuses on translating theoretical ideas into practical applications, showcasing the most prominent transformative initiatives and projects led by the national media system, and how digital innovations are being used to create a tangible impact on the public.
Diverse educational and interactive experiences
The “Media Bridge” encompasses a number of carefully designed interactive areas, most notably:
- Knowledge Bridge: A dedicated space offering an intensive learning experience through short, high-quality workshops. Visitors will be able to attend sessions such as “How to Shine on Stage?” with media personality Fatima Fahad, and the workshop “Your Digital Account as a Media Tool” with Malek Al-Ruqi, General Manager of Al-Thaqafiya Channel, with attendance certificates accredited by the Saudi Academy of Media.
- Ask the Media: This area provides a rare opportunity for direct contact with decision-makers and experts, where visitors can obtain professional advice from prominent figures such as the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Media, Abdulrahman Majrashi, and the general supervisor of the International Media Relations Agency, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Omari.
- On Air: A realistic simulation experience that puts the visitor at the heart of media work, whether as a news anchor, podcast host, or official spokesperson, with the experience documented in a professional video.
- Saudipedia: An interactive corner that tests visitors' knowledge base about national information, the history of the Kingdom and its achievements.
Through these events, the Ministry aims to build sustainable bridges of communication between official institutions and the public, empower young talent, and open new avenues for collaboration, thereby enhancing the dynamism of the media sector. Those interested in participating can visit the Boulevard 2030 area and register via the forum's official website.
