The total number of tunnels in the Holy City of Mecca is approximately 62, with a combined length exceeding 36,300 linear meters. To ensure a healthy environment, the network is equipped with 513 jet fans to improve air quality and extract exhaust fumes within the tunnels. In addition, 326 surveillance cameras have been installed to monitor performance and real-time operation, along with 881 fire hydrants for rapid response and 42 backup generators.
