Makkah police announced the arrest of an Egyptian resident for his involvement in widespread fraud and deception through the promotion of fake Hajj services on various social media platforms. These illegal activities included posting misleading advertisements claiming the ability to issue entry permits to the holy sites and secure Hajj requirements through unofficial channels, thus seriously endangering the safety and finances of those wishing to perform the pilgrimage.

In this regard, Saudi Public Security reiterated its call to all citizens, residents, and visitors to fully comply with the regulations and instructions issued regarding the Hajj season and to obtain official permits only through approved channels such as the “Nusk” platform and authorized government agencies. Public Security also urged everyone to report any violations or fraudulent campaigns by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 in the rest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
