Madinah Education Department: Registration for distance learning students for the academic year 1447 begins; required conditions

The General Directorate of Education in the Madinah region officially announced the start of procedures for accepting male and female students for the upcoming academic year 1447 AH, in a step aimed at providing an opportunity for those wishing to complete their educational journey who were prevented by their circumstances from attending traditional school classes.

Registration mechanism and admission requirements

The administration clarified in its statement that registration will be conducted directly through the schools, emphasizing that this process is specifically for students who have exceeded the age limit for regular education. The administration has established organizational criteria for the geographical distribution of students to ensure a smooth educational process. These criteria stipulate that unemployed students will enroll in the school closest to their residence, thus facilitating their access to administrative services and examinations later on.

As for employees wishing to complete their studies, the administration stipulated that they should go to the nearest school to their workplace, with the necessity of attaching an official letter of approval from the employer allowing the employee to continue his studies, in order to ensure coordination between the professional path and academic achievement without conflict.

Affiliation System: A Bridge to Continuing Education

This announcement comes as part of the Saudi Ministry of Education's commitment to implementing the principle of "lifelong learning," a key pillar of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. The distance learning (home-based) system is one of the flexible educational solutions offered by the government to enable citizens and residents to enhance their educational and cultural levels, regardless of age or employment circumstances. This system contributes to bridging the educational gap and reducing school dropout rates, which positively impacts human development indicators in the region.

Social and economic importance

Opening admissions in Medina is of particular importance, as it allows a broad segment of society to improve their professional and social standing by obtaining accredited academic degrees. Acquiring an academic qualification not only enhances knowledge but also opens new horizons in the job market, thus strengthening national capabilities and supporting the local economy with qualified personnel who continuously strive for self-improvement.

Invitation to review the new regulations

In closing, the Madinah Education Department called on all those wishing to register to review the detailed information and the executive procedures guide for the Student Assessment Regulations for 2025, by visiting the department’s official accounts on social media platforms, to ensure familiarity with all rights and obligations related to this educational path.
