King Salman Center conducts 99 surgeries in Gaza: Campaign details

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, continued its long history of providing aid and support to its brothers and sisters in Palestine. The center's volunteer medical team achieved a new medical milestone in the Gaza Strip, successfully performing 99 complex general surgeries and providing treatment and medical consultations to 402 patients at the general surgery clinic of the Arab National Hospital in Gaza.
These intensive efforts were part of the volunteer medical project for general surgery implemented by the center from December 5 to 27, 2025. The project aimed to provide advanced medical care to patients and injured individuals suffering from difficult health conditions, given the severe shortage of medical personnel and supplies in the sector.
The context of the crisis and the importance of medical intervention:
This medical campaign is of exceptional importance given the tragic circumstances facing the health sector in Gaza. Successive crises and ongoing conflicts have devastated hospital infrastructure and created long waiting lists for patients requiring urgent surgical intervention. The intervention of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center comes as a lifeline, helping to alleviate the immense pressure on local medical staff and providing surgical services that may not be readily available under the blockade and resource scarcity.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's leading role
in this project is not an isolated event, but rather a link in a long chain of humanitarian initiatives spearheaded by the Kingdom under the guidance of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince. Historically, the Kingdom has been, and remains, at the forefront of countries supporting the Palestinian cause, not only through political support, but also through direct relief and development aid that impacts the daily lives of Palestinians.
The humanitarian and regional impact
of the Saudi medical teams' presence in Gaza during these difficult times reflects a powerful message of solidarity that transcends mere material support to include moral support. This project contributes to saving lives and reducing the rates of disability resulting from delayed surgeries, thus strengthening the resilience of the Palestinian people. These efforts also underscore the Kingdom's unwavering commitment to international and humanitarian conventions in providing aid to those affected in conflict zones, further solidifying its position as a leading humanitarian force at both the regional and international levels.
