King Salman Relief Center launches food basket project in several countries

A Saudi humanitarian initiative that transcends borders
As part of its global humanitarian role, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center launched the “Food Basket” project in several brotherly and friendly countries in Africa and Asia, aiming to provide food security for the most vulnerable groups and alleviate their suffering. This initiative is an extension of the ongoing relief efforts provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, to promote the values of human solidarity and support affected communities around the world.
Background on the pioneering role of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center was established in May 2015 under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to serve as a leading international center for coordinating and delivering humanitarian and relief assistance. Since its inception, the Center has implemented thousands of projects in dozens of countries worldwide, covering vital sectors such as food security, health, shelter, water and sanitation, and education, without discrimination based on race or religion. The "Food Basket" project, launched periodically, reflects the Center's commitment to combating hunger and malnutrition and contributing to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 2, which aims to eradicate hunger.
