The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center continues its assistance efforts in 5 countries around the world

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center , continues to consolidate its global position as a beacon of charitable work, through the launch of a new package of diverse relief and medical projects that included 5 countries in the continents of Asia and the Arab region, targeting the groups most in need of providing health care and food security.
Supporting food security in Uzbekistan
As part of strengthening humanitarian cooperation, the center launched the fifth phase of the "Food Basket" distribution project in the Republic of Uzbekistan for the year 2026. The launch ceremony took place in the capital, Tashkent, at the headquarters of the Charitable Endowment Fund.
This vital project aims to distribute 6,060 complete food baskets containing essential items to meet the needs of 36,000 beneficiaries across 14 provinces of Uzbekistan. This support is part of the center's strategy to combat hunger and provide for the basic needs of vulnerable families.
Combating blindness in Jordan
On the medical front, the center achieved tangible accomplishments in the Jordanian capital, Amman, through the "Noor Saudi" volunteer project to combat blindness. During the campaign, which ran from January 23 to 28, 2026, the Saudi medical team provided services to thousands of patients, examining 2,371 patients, distributing 400 pairs of eyeglasses, and performing 394 successful and delicate eye surgeries, thus restoring hope and sight to many.
Specialized surgical interventions in Syria and Indonesia
In the context of complex surgical procedures, the center concluded its volunteer orthopedic surgery project in Damascus, Syria. With the participation of 16 Saudi volunteers, 45 joint replacement surgeries (hip and knee) and 31 hand deformity surgeries were performed, reflecting the center's commitment to providing specialized medical services in underserved areas.
In parallel, a specialized open-heart surgery campaign was launched in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, with the participation of 20 consultants and specialists. Since the start of the campaign in early February 2026, the team has successfully performed six open-heart surgeries, a step aimed at saving lives and transferring Saudi medical expertise to local professionals.
Winter clothing in Yemen
Continuing its ongoing support for our brothers and sisters in Yemen, the center distributed 270 shopping vouchers as part of the "Kanaf" winter clothing project in Al-Sum district of Hadramawt Governorate. This project aims to protect displaced persons and impoverished families from the harsh cold, with 270 individuals benefiting from the latest distribution, as part of a comprehensive plan to address winter needs across various Yemeni governorates.
