King Salman Center distributes winter clothing in Idlib as part of the Kanf project
As part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ongoing humanitarian efforts to support those in need around the world, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center continued its relief activities inside Syria. Yesterday, the Center distributed 194 vouchers for winter clothing in the Khirbet al-Jouz area of Idlib Governorate, Syria. This initiative benefited 194 individuals from the most vulnerable groups, as part of the 2026 Winter Clothing Distribution Project (Kanaf).
The "Kanaf" project is one of the center's most prominent initiatives, primarily aimed at providing warmth to affected and displaced families, especially with the onset of winter and its sharp drop in temperatures in these areas. The project operates by distributing vouchers that allow beneficiaries to freely choose suitable winter clothing for themselves and their children, thus preserving their dignity while simultaneously supporting economic activity in local markets.
This aid is doubly important given the difficult living conditions faced by residents of camps and border areas in northern Syria. With the onset of harsh winter weather, the need for heating and warm clothing to protect children and the elderly from cold-related illnesses becomes urgent, and the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center is striving to address this through its rapid and well-planned response to the needs of these groups.
