King Salman Center distributes winter clothes to students in Khan Younis, Gaza
As part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ongoing humanitarian efforts to support the Palestinian people, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center continued its relief efforts in the Gaza Strip. Yesterday, in Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip, large quantities of winter clothing were distributed to students in temporary educational facilities, in cooperation with the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage, the implementing partner for this field initiative.
Urgent response to harsh winter conditions
This humanitarian initiative comes as an immediate response to the growing needs imposed by the onset of winter, especially given the exceptional circumstances faced by the residents of the Gaza Strip. Students face immense challenges in continuing their education, as they receive their lessons in tents lacking even the most basic heating, following the widespread destruction of educational infrastructure and schools due to the ongoing conflict. This aid aims to protect children from the bitter cold and enable them to attend their temporary classrooms in good health and with dignity.
The Saudi Popular Campaign: A Bridge of Giving
This aid falls within the framework of the "Saudi Popular Campaign to Aid the Palestinian People in the Gaza Strip," launched by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Prime Minister. This campaign is one of the largest relief efforts the region has witnessed, with the Kingdom establishing a continuous air and sea bridge to transport thousands of tons of food, medical supplies, and shelter materials, reflecting the strong popular and official Saudi solidarity with their brothers and sisters in Palestine.
