Saudi Arabia provides aid to 4 countries: Food assistance from the King Salman Center

As part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's leading role in humanitarian and relief efforts worldwide, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center implementing its impactful programs aimed at enhancing food security and providing assistance to those in need and those affected by crises across the globe. Recent aid efforts have targeted four Arab and Islamic countries: Lebanon, Chad, Afghanistan, and Sudan, reaching thousands of the most vulnerable families.
Supporting refugees and the host community in Lebanon
In Lebanon, the center intensified its efforts in the Bekaa Governorate, distributing 1,599 food baskets and 1,599 cartons of dates yesterday. This aid benefited 7,995 Syrian and Palestinian refugees, as well as needy families within the host community. This initiative is part of the food and date distribution projects, implemented at a time when Lebanon is facing severe economic and living challenges. This assistance is crucial in alleviating the burdens on vulnerable groups and providing the basic necessities for a dignified life.
Urgent relief in Chad and Afghanistan
Saudi Arabia's humanitarian efforts have extended to the African continent, specifically to the Republic of Chad, where the center distributed 900 food baskets in the city of Mchimeri in the Bahr el Ghazal region, benefiting 5,400 individuals from the most vulnerable groups. This aid falls under the 2025 in-kind assistance project, which aims to bridge the food gap in remote areas.
In the same vein, the center continued its activities in Central Asia, where 404 food baskets were distributed in Farkhar District, Takhar Province, Afghanistan. This distribution benefited 2,424 individuals from 404 families, including returnees, internally displaced persons, and orphans. This support is part of the 2026 Food Security and Emergency Support Project, reaffirming the Kingdom's commitment to supporting the Afghan people in the face of harsh living conditions and natural disasters.
Enhancing food security in Sudan
Amid the critical humanitarian crisis in Sudan, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center distributed 2,300 food baskets in the Sheikan locality of North Kordofan State. These aid packages, part of the third phase of the 2025 Food Security Support Project in Sudan, benefited 2,300 families.
This aid is of strategic importance given the current circumstances that have displaced millions of Sudanese and caused a severe shortage of food supplies. Through its humanitarian arm, the Kingdom seeks to alleviate this suffering, reaffirming its unwavering support for the Sudanese people until they overcome their ordeal.
