King Salman Center distributes 900 cartons of dates in Hadramawt to support families

As part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ongoing humanitarian efforts to support the brotherly Yemeni people, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center distributed a new batch of food aid in Hadramawt Governorate. This aid included the distribution of 900 cartons of dates in Al-Sum District, benefiting 5,400 individuals from the most vulnerable families, as part of the 2026 Dates Aid Distribution Project in the Republic of Yemen.
Enhancing food security in Yemen
This initiative is part of a series of vital projects implemented by the center to enhance food security across various Yemeni governorates. This aid is particularly important given the high nutritional value of dates, a staple food for Yemeni families. Through these campaigns, the center aims to bridge the food gap and provide basic necessities for vulnerable groups, especially in areas suffering from food shortages and limited access due to the current economic conditions.
The Kingdom's leading role in humanitarian work
This project reflects the leading role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, in alleviating the suffering of affected populations around the world, and in Yemen in particular. Since its establishment, the Center has consistently provided aid without discrimination, with its programs encompassing multiple sectors such as health, food, shelter, and education. The date distribution projects are one of the Kingdom's established annual initiatives, which it is committed to sustaining to ensure that aid reaches those in need in remote villages and districts.
Alleviating human suffering in Hadramawt
This aid directly contributes to alleviating the burdens on citizens in Al-Sum District and Hadramawt Governorate in general. The selection of targeted areas is based on thorough field studies to identify the most vulnerable and needy families, ensuring maximum effectiveness of the assistance provided. These efforts complement other development and relief projects implemented by the center in coordination with local and international partners, aiming to improve living conditions and support the stability of Yemeni families amidst ongoing humanitarian challenges.
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center renews its commitment to continue providing support and assistance to our brothers in Yemen, stressing that this aid is a practical translation of the bonds of brotherhood and neighborliness, and a sense of humanitarian responsibility towards the needy groups, in an effort to achieve a decent and stable life for the Yemeni people.
