King Salman Center distributes 4,750 cartons of dates in Hadramawt for the year 2026

As part of the ongoing humanitarian efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to support the brotherly Yemeni people, the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid continued to implement its ambitious relief programs for 2026, with Hadramawt Governorate witnessing intensive activity in distributing essential food aid.

Yesterday, the center successfully distributed a total of 4,750 cartons of dates in the districts of Mukalla and Al-Abr, targeting the most vulnerable families in these areas. Specifically, the center's teams distributed 2,200 cartons of dates in Mukalla, benefiting 13,200 individuals, while 2,550 cartons were distributed in Al-Abr, covering the needs of 15,300 individuals. This brings the total number of beneficiaries from this distribution to 28,500 Yemeni citizens.

The importance of timing and food security

This aid is of paramount importance given the vital role dates play as a staple food with high nutritional value, especially in areas facing food security challenges. The date distribution project is part of a comprehensive strategy adopted by the center to bridge the food gap and combat malnutrition, thereby contributing to improved public health for beneficiaries, particularly children and the elderly.

The leading role of the King Salman Relief Center

Since its establishment, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has served as a vital arm of the Kingdom in providing assistance to those in need around the world, with Yemen topping the list of beneficiary countries due to its proximity and historical fraternal ties. The Center's efforts are not limited to distributing food baskets and dates, but extend to the health, shelter, water, and sanitation sectors, in addition to education and protection programs.

A firm Saudi commitment

These initiatives in Hadramawt reflect the unwavering commitment of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince to stand with the Yemeni people in their time of need. This aid is part of a comprehensive humanitarian effort aimed at alleviating human suffering and improving the living conditions of our brothers and sisters in Yemen, reaffirming that the Kingdom will remain Yemen's foremost supporter in all circumstances and crises, striving towards a more stable and prosperous future.
