The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center continues to provide medical and food support to Yemen

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center , continues to solidify its global standing as one of the leading donors of humanitarian aid by consistently providing relief to its brothers and sisters in the Republic of Yemen. These efforts are part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at alleviating the humanitarian suffering of the Yemeni people under the current circumstances.

Integrated medical services for displaced people in Hajjah

In the context of health support, the center's mobile medical clinic continued to provide vital medical services in the Al-Walan camp for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Haradh district, Hajjah governorate. These clinics are a lifeline for IDPs who lack access to basic healthcare in displacement camps.

According to official statistics for the period from January 7 to 13, 2026, the clinic received (82) beneficiaries, with the cases varying as follows:

  • The Epidemic Disease Control Clinic received 33 patients, reflecting the importance of early monitoring of epidemics in the camps.
  • Emergency Clinic: Provided services to 22 patients.
  • Internal Medicine Clinic: 15 patients visited it.
  • Reproductive health: 3 cases benefited from it.
  • Awareness and education: 9 individuals benefited from it, which is an important preventive aspect to raise health awareness.

Regarding support services, the nursing services department saw 69 patients, dispensed necessary medications to 73 patients, received 3 beneficiaries in the surgery and dressing clinic, and carried out two activities for the safe disposal of medical waste to ensure a safe and healthy environment.

Supporting food security in Hadramawt

Alongside its health efforts, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center is also paying close attention to food security. As part of its 2026 date aid distribution project in Yemen, the center distributed 500 cartons of dates in the Haridah district of Hadramawt Governorate.

Three thousand individuals benefited from this food aid, including the most vulnerable groups, impoverished families, and people with disabilities. This aid is an essential part of the food basket for Yemeni families, especially given the economic challenges facing the country.

The humanitarian context and the importance of Saudi support

This aid is of paramount strategic importance given the complex humanitarian situation in Yemen. Since its inception, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre has prioritized the Yemeni crisis, implementing hundreds of projects across the health, food, shelter, and education sectors. This ongoing support helps bridge the significant gap in essential services that has been severely impacted by the years-long crisis.

Operating mobile clinics in areas like Hajjah directly contributes to containing diseases and preventing outbreaks of epidemics that often spread in displaced populations, while food aid in Hadramawt and other governorates helps combat malnutrition and strengthen the social resilience of Yemeni families. These field initiatives underscore the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s moral and humanitarian commitment to its Yemeni neighbor and its ongoing efforts to achieve humanitarian stability as part of its vision to support peace and development in the region.
