King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center distributes aid in Sudan, Lebanon and Burkina Faso

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center , continues to affirm its leading role in global charitable work, as Saudi Arabia’s benevolent hand has extended to include three Arab and African countries in recent days, providing a package of food aid and urgent medical services to the most needy groups.
Supporting food security in Sudan
As part of ongoing efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Sudanese people, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center distributed 1,370 food baskets yesterday in the localities of Al-Manaqil, Al-Kamilin, and Al-Qurashi in Al-Jazirah State. This aid benefited 8,457 individuals from affected families.
This distribution comes as part of the third phase of the Food Security Support Project in the Republic of Sudan for the year 2026, a vital project that aims to bridge the food gap and provide basic needs in light of the exceptional circumstances the region is going through, reflecting the depth of the brotherly relations between the Saudi and Sudanese peoples.
Urgent relief in Burkina Faso
On the African front, the center continued its relief efforts in Burkina Faso, distributing 1,194 food baskets in the town of Ouahigouye the day before yesterday. These baskets benefited 1,194 families, totaling 7,164 individuals. This aid is part of the 2026 Food Security Support Project for the Most Vulnerable Groups in Burkina Faso.
This aid is of paramount importance given the economic and climatic challenges facing the countries of the African Sahel region, as this support contributes to strengthening the livelihood stability of beneficiary families and combating malnutrition.
Ambulance services in northern Lebanon
On the medical side, the center strengthened its services in the Lebanese Republic, where the ambulance service of the “Subul Al-Salam Social Association” in the Al-Minya region of northern Lebanon carried out 39 ambulance missions during the past week, with full funding from the King Salman Relief Center.
The tasks ranged from transporting patients to and from hospitals to providing first aid services in the city of Minya. This project targets both Syrian refugees and the Lebanese host community, alleviating the burden on the local health sector and providing emergency medical care to those in need.
The leading role of the King Salman Relief Center
It is worth noting that the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, established in 2015 under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, is now one of the most important international humanitarian organizations. The Center operates with purely humanitarian objectives and without discrimination, having implemented thousands of projects in dozens of countries around the world, covering vital sectors including food security, health, shelter, and education. This reinforces the Kingdom's position as the heart of the Islamic world and a major supporter of international humanitarian stability.
