King Salman Relief Center: Medical and food aid in 4 countries

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center , continues to reaffirm its leading role in global charitable work. Saudi Arabia's benevolent efforts have extended to provide diverse medical, relief, and food services in four countries: Jordan, Yemen, Lebanon, and Brazil. These efforts are a continuation of the Kingdom's unwavering commitment to supporting affected and needy populations worldwide and alleviating the suffering of refugees in crisis zones.

Comprehensive healthcare for Syrian refugees in Jordan

As part of ongoing care for Syrian refugees, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center clinics in the Zaatari camp in Jordan provided comprehensive medical services to 11,934 patients during October 2025. These clinics are of paramount importance as they are the primary source of healthcare for thousands of families residing in the camp, contributing to the prevention of diseases and epidemics within the refugee environment.

The services provided were diverse, encompassing various specialties. General medicine clinics received 4,510 patients, while pediatric clinics saw 1,507 children, and women's clinics served 1,073 women. Care also included specialized fields such as internal medicine, dentistry, otolaryngology (ENT), ophthalmology, and cardiology, in addition to rehabilitation and dermatology services. Efforts extended beyond medical examinations, encompassing 15,255 laboratory tests, 1,374 X-rays, vaccinations, health education sessions, and physical therapy, reflecting the comprehensiveness of the healthcare provided.

Supporting the health sector in Yemen

In Yemen, the center continued its vital support to the health sector, which faces significant challenges. In Hajjah Governorate, the clinics at Al-Ja'ada Health Center provided medical services to 7,749 beneficiaries during November 2025. These services included emergency care, internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, and an infectious diseases department, thus contributing to reducing the spread of contagious diseases.

In parallel, mobile medical clinics in the Razih district of Saada governorate continued to provide services to 864 beneficiaries in remote and hard-to-reach areas, providing services to combat epidemic diseases, treat emergency cases, and provide reproductive health, in addition to dispensing medicines and implementing awareness campaigns and the safe disposal of medical waste.

Relief and food aid in Lebanon

In Lebanon, Saudi aid has been diverse, encompassing both medical and food assistance. The ambulance service of the "Subul al-Salam" Association in the Minieh region carried out 38 ambulance missions in one week, funded by the King Salman Center, serving refugees and the host community and strengthening the emergency medical services system in the area.

On the food front, the center distributed 1,269 food baskets and a similar quantity of date cartons in the city of Tyre, benefiting 6,345 Syrian refugees and needy families, as part of a project to support food security for the most affected groups in light of the current economic conditions.

Aid arrives in South America

The aid was not limited to the Middle East; it also reached South America, where the center distributed 1,000 kilograms of dates in the Brazilian states of Amazonas and Rondônia, as part of a project to distribute 200 tons of dates. This geographical expansion of aid underscores the Kingdom's global humanitarian mission, which transcends borders and distances to support food security in friendly nations.

These figures and statistics reflect the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to its humanitarian vision and its keenness to extend a helping hand to those in need in all parts of the world, which enhances its position as one of the largest donor countries of humanitarian aid in the world.
