Its latest projects included the distribution of various relief aid in Syria, Chad, and Kosovo, targeting the most vulnerable groups to cope with difficult living and climatic conditions.

Winter clothing warms thousands of Syrians

As part of ongoing efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center distributed 1,823 vouchers enabling beneficiaries to purchase suitable winter clothing. The distribution focused on the Deir al-Asafir center in the Rif Dimashq Governorate and the Andan center in Aleppo Governorate. A total of 1,823 individuals from displaced and resident families benefited from this initiative, which falls under the "Kanaf" winter clothing distribution project in the Syrian Arab Republic.

This aid comes at a crucial time with the onset of winter, as internally displaced people in Syria suffer from plummeting temperatures and shortages of heating and winter clothing. This initiative is part of a series of humanitarian projects implemented by the Kingdom to alleviate the suffering caused by the years-long humanitarian crisis, reaffirming Saudi Arabia's commitment to supporting the Syrian people in their plight and providing the basic necessities that preserve their dignity and protect them from the harsh cold.

In a related development, Saudi Arabia's humanitarian efforts extended to the African continent, with the center distributing 628 cartons of dates in the areas of Konjar, Abu Habil Kornoy, Abu Habil Joukhani, and Abu Hofar in the Batha region of Chad. This aid benefited 3,728 individuals from the most vulnerable groups, as part of a project to distribute 800 tons of dates in Chad, aimed at supporting food security in resource-scarce areas.

In Europe, specifically in the Republic of Kosovo, the center distributed 300 food baskets in the city of Peja, benefiting 1,000 individuals from 300 families, as part of the "Food Basket 5" project. This initiative aims to enhance food security for vulnerable families and provide them with essential living requirements.

The Kingdom's humanitarian message

These simultaneous efforts across three continents (Asia, Africa, and Europe) embody the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's steadfast strategy, implemented through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre, which aims to reach those in need without discrimination. These efforts reflect the Kingdom's commitment to international conventions and humanitarian principles, with the Centre's projects exceeding thousands in dozens of countries, thus solidifying Saudi Arabia's position as one of the world's largest donors of humanitarian and development aid.
