King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center distributes food and water aid in 6 countries

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center , continued to demonstrate its leading role in international humanitarian work through a series of intensive relief operations covering six countries across different continents. These efforts are part of the Kingdom's strategy to enhance food and water security and alleviate the suffering of the most vulnerable populations worldwide.

Historical context and leading role of the Kingdom

Since its establishment in May 2015 under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the center has consistently provided aid without discrimination, with its projects reaching dozens of disaster-stricken and affected countries. This aid is particularly important in light of the economic and climate crises the world is witnessing, making Saudi relief intervention a cornerstone for the stability of beneficiary communities.

Supporting water and food security in Yemen

In the Republic of Yemen, which is a top priority on the center's agenda, aid has varied between food and environmental assistance:

  • Water Supply: 901,000 liters of potable water and 11,187,000 liters during a single week (January 21-27, 2026), in addition to carrying out 58 waste removal operations. Quality aid in Africa and South America

The African continent and Latin America were not absent from the aid map, as the center focused on distributing dates due to their high nutritional value:

  • Chad: The center distributed 1,499 cartons of dates in Al-Bathaa Governorate, benefiting approximately 9,000 individuals, as part of a large project to distribute 800 tons of dates.
  • Brazil: In a humanitarian gesture towards refugees and migrants, the center distributed 3,000 cartons of dates in the city of Guarulhos, benefiting 375 families of various nationalities including (Syria, Egypt, Lebanon, Venezuela, and others) in addition to the host community.

Developmental and humanitarian impact

These figures reflect the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to international humanitarian charters, as these projects contribute directly to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly eradicating hunger and providing clean water. These efforts also enhance the Kingdom's image as a humanitarian nation and underscore the deep fraternal ties and friendship that bind Saudi Arabia to the peoples of these countries.
