Address of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques on the occasion of the arrival of the month of Ramadan 1447 AH
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may God protect him, addressed a comprehensive message to the citizens and residents of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and to Muslims worldwide on the occasion of the arrival of the blessed month of Ramadan for the year 1447 AH. The message was delivered on his behalf by His Excellency the Minister of Media, Mr. Salman bin Yousef Al-Dossari, and it conveyed profound religious meanings and noble humanitarian messages, congratulating the Muslim Ummah on reaching the month of mercy and forgiveness.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques began his speech by praising God and glorifying Him, citing the noble verse: “O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous.” He reminded everyone that Ramadan is a month in which the gates of Paradise are opened, and in which there is the Night of Decree, which is better than a thousand months.
