Guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques program visit Quba Mosque in Medina
As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cultural and Islamic ties among peoples, guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Hajj, Umrah, and Visit Program, overseen by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, visited Quba Mosque in Madinah. This visit is part of a comprehensive cultural program prepared by the Ministry for the guests, who represent more than 104 countries worldwide, with the aim of enriching their religious and intellectual experience and introducing them to prominent historical landmarks in Madinah.

The guests performed prayers at the Quba Mosque, which holds an exceptional place in the hearts of Muslims as the first mosque founded on piety in Islam, built by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) upon his arrival in Medina after migrating from Mecca. The delegation toured the mosque's facilities and learned about the major expansions it has undergone throughout history, listening to a detailed explanation of its history and its significant place in the Prophet's biography.
The tour was not limited to the Quba Mosque; it also included visits to several historical sites associated with the Battle of Uhud. The guests visited the battle site, the Mosque of the Martyrs of Uhud, Mount Uhud (also known as Jabal al-Rumah), and the cemetery of the martyrs of Uhud who sacrificed their lives for the spread of Islam. The attendees listened to a historical account detailing the battle and the lessons learned from it, which deepened their understanding of these pivotal events in early Islam.

These visits are of paramount importance at the local, regional, and international levels, as they contribute to strengthening Islamic unity and deepening the bonds of brotherhood among Islamic leaders from across the globe. They also highlight the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's leading role in preserving and safeguarding Islamic heritage, and present a commendable image of the reconstruction and development efforts underway at the Two Holy Mosques, the holy sites, and the surrounding historical landmarks, particularly the King Salman Expansion Project of Quba Mosque and the development of the surrounding area to enhance the services provided to pilgrims.
The guests expressed their deepest gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince – may God protect them – for the generous hospitality and exceptional care they have received since their arrival in the Kingdom. They commended the high level of integrated services and excellent organization, which reflects the Saudi leadership's commitment to serving Islam and Muslims and facilitating their performance of religious rites and visits with ease and peace of mind.
