Sheikh Nahyan bin Saif was presented with the King Abdulaziz Sash by order of King Salman
In compliance with the noble royal order of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - may God protect him - the headquarters of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Abu Dhabi witnessed a high-level ceremony, in which the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the United Arab Emirates, Sultan bin Abdullah Al-Luwayhan Al-Anqari, presented Sheikh Nahyan bin Saif Al Nahyan, the former UAE Ambassador to the Kingdom, with the King Abdulaziz Sash of the Second Class.
This high royal honor comes in appreciation and recognition of the distinguished diplomatic efforts made by Sheikh Nahyan bin Saif Al Nahyan during his tenure as his country’s ambassador to Riyadh, and his active role in strengthening and developing the deep-rooted fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries, and pushing them towards broader horizons of cooperation and integration in various fields.
Significance of the honor and the depth of Saudi-Emirati relations
The King Abdulaziz Sash is one of Saudi Arabia's highest honors, awarded to prominent figures and diplomats who have rendered distinguished service or made significant contributions to strengthening their countries' relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. During the reception held on this occasion, Ambassador Sultan Al Anqari expressed his sincere congratulations to Sheikh Nahyan bin Saif, wishing him continued success in his new national duties, as he was recently appointed Deputy Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, a position that reflects the great confidence in his diplomatic competence and extensive experience.
The ceremony and reception were attended by a number of diplomatic figures, led by the Assistant Undersecretary for Protocol Affairs at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Saif Al Shamsi, and the Director of the Gulf Cooperation Council Department, Ambassador Ahmed Al Balushi, in addition to a number of ambassadors of Gulf and Arab countries accredited to the UAE, who congratulated Sheikh Nahyan on this well-deserved royal honor.
