Smooth travel at King Khalid Airport and an inspection tour by the Minister of Transport

King Khalid International Airport announced the return of high flow of travel and operational processes in the airport terminals, after the resumption of flights and the return of the operational schedule to its normal state in full, reflecting the high readiness to deal with various operational conditions.
Inspection tour by the Minister of Transport and Logistics
As part of ongoing field monitoring, His Excellency the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Engineer Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser , today inspected the operational processes and passenger traffic at King Khalid International Airport. This visit aimed to ensure the quality of services provided to passengers and guarantee the continuity of operations with high efficiency.
During the tour, Engineer Al-Jasser inspected the airport's various facilities and reviewed the organizational and technical procedures implemented to ensure the swift restoration of smooth operations in the terminals. He also visited the operations center, where he received a detailed technical presentation from the CEO of Airports Holding Company, covering operational performance indicators, flight punctuality rates, and plans for managing increased air traffic.
Instructions for implementing the Passenger Protection Regulations
His Excellency the Minister of Transport directed that performance be intensified and continuous efforts be made to improve the travel experience, emphasizing the importance of facilitating passenger movement in accordance with the highest international standards of quality and safety. Al-Jasser also stressed the necessity of full compliance with the “ Passenger Protection Regulations ,” which guarantee passengers’ rights and provide them with the necessary support in the event of flight delays or cancellations, thus enhancing users’ confidence in the Kingdom’s air transport system.
King Khalid Airport and the objectives of the National Transport Strategy
King Khalid International Airport is one of the main pillars of the Saudi civil aviation system and plays a pivotal role in achieving the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy stemming from the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. This strategy aims to make the Kingdom a global logistics hub connecting the three continents, reaching 330 million passengers annually by 2030, in addition to increasing international destinations to 250 destinations.
The Kingdom’s transportation system is working to increase the capacity of airports and improve infrastructure to ensure a smooth and comfortable travel experience for arrivals and departures, especially in light of the increasing growth in the number of tourists and visitors to the Kingdom, which makes maintaining operational discipline at the capital’s airport a top priority.
Ensuring the sustainability of operational discipline
At the conclusion of his tour, Engineer Saleh Al-Jasser directed that the necessary reviews of operational processes be conducted periodically to ensure the sustainability of discipline in all circumstances and at all times, stressing that operational efficiency is the basic standard for the success of the civil aviation sector in meeting the aspirations of the leadership and serving citizens, residents and visitors.
