New King Fahd Causeway Packages: 40% Discounts and 2026 Toll Fees

The King Fahd Causeway Authority announced on Monday the launch of a new range of packages for travelers crossing the bridge, designed to provide flexible and cost-effective options for users of this vital artery. This initiative, accessible through the “Jisr” digital application, offers significant discounts ranging from 15% to 40% on crossing fees and is scheduled to officially take effect on February 18, 2026.

Details of the new King Fahd Causeway crossing packages

The company designed the three packages to meet the needs of different segments of travelers, whether they are daily or seasonal visitors, and they are as follows:

  • Frequent Flyer Package: This is the ideal option for employees, students, and daily or near-daily travelers, offering a discount of up to 40% . Costing SAR 850 , this package allows the subscriber 40 crossings (one or return) and is valid for one month or until the crossing limit is reached, whichever comes first.
  • Frequent Flyer Package: This package targets individuals who travel less frequently, such as for weekend getaways. It offers a discount of up to 20% totaling SAR 1,120 , and remains valid for a full year or until 40 crossings are completed.
  • Round-trip package: An economical option for travelers planning short, specific trips, offering a 15% . It costs 60 riyals , is valid for one week from the date of the first crossing, and includes two crossings only (one way and one return).

Adjusting toll fees and digital transformation

The launch of these packages coincides with the announcement by the authority of an amendment to the bridge crossing fees, which will take effect on the same date (February 18, 2026). Under the new amendment, the crossing fee for cars and motorcycles will be 35 riyals, while the fee for minibuses will be 55 riyals, and for large buses 70 riyals. Trucks will be subject to a fee of 7 riyals per ton.

The reliance on the “Jisr” application to activate these packages reflects the institution’s orientation towards full digital transformation, with the aim of speeding up crossing procedures and reducing waiting time, which contributes to smoother traffic flow and facilitates electronic payment processes.

The strategic importance of the King Fahd Causeway

The King Fahd Causeway, officially opened in 1986 and spanning 25 kilometers, is more than just a geographical link between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain; it represents a vital economic and tourism artery that strengthens the fraternal relations between the two brotherly nations. Millions of travelers and vehicles cross the bridge annually, making it one of the busiest land crossings in the Middle East.

These new initiatives contribute to supporting the tourism and intra-regional trade sector, as the discounted packages facilitate the movement of businessmen and tourists, which positively impacts economic growth in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom and Bahrain alike, and strengthens the bonds of social cohesion among the peoples of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
