The King Fahd Causeway Authority is preparing to implement the new toll structure for crossing the causeway linking the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain on Wednesday morning, February 18, 2026. This step aims to regulate traffic flow and improve operational efficiency, including the activation of instant discount packages of up to 40%, while exempting specific social groups from any increases to ensure their continued ease of travel.

• Frequent Flyer Package: Offers a discount of up to 20% worth 1120 riyals, and is valid for a full year or 40 crossings, making it a long-term economical option.
• Round trip package: Designed for travelers who have planned their trips in advance, with a 15% discount and a value of 60 riyals, and its validity lasts for one week.

Digital transformation via "Absher Travel"

In the context of automation, the Absher platform explained the details of the "Absher Travel" service, which enables citizens and residents to pay bridge fees and optionally insure their vehicles in advance before arriving at the border crossing. The service requires booking the trip three hours or more in advance and arriving within three hours of the scheduled time. Upon arrival, a location verification or biometric verification is required to ensure expedited procedures.
