King Abdulaziz University and the Maritime Academy Agreement for Job Localization

In a strategic move aimed at enhancing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s position as a global logistics hub, King Abdulaziz University , represented by the College of Maritime Studies, and the National Maritime Academy , signed a joint cooperation agreement aimed at localizing the maritime transport industry, improving the security and safety system, and protecting the marine environment, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

The signing ceremony took place at the university headquarters, with Dr. Faisal Al-Saq, Dean of the College of Maritime Studies, representing the academic side, and Captain Turki Al-Shehri, Executive Director, representing the academy. This signing marks the beginning of a new phase of integrated work between educational institutions and specialized training providers to serve the national economy.

The "Bridging" program: A qualitative leap for students

The agreement's provisions included plans to launch the "Bridging" academic program, a key outcome of this partnership. The program aims to open new horizons for diploma holders in maritime disciplines, enabling them to pursue a bachelor's degree at King Abdulaziz University.
