The Judicial Intelligence Hackathon concludes with the crowning of 5 innovative projects

In a significant step that strengthens the digital transformation journey in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Board of Grievances concluded its "Judicial Intelligence Hackathon," under the patronage and in the presence of His Excellency the President of the Board, Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Yousef. The closing ceremony witnessed the awarding of prizes and commemorative shields to the top five teams that presented promising innovative solutions, with a total value exceeding 200,000 Saudi Riyals. This event reflects the judicial sector's commitment to adopting the latest global technologies.
Record participation and fierce technical competition
The competition witnessed widespread participation, reflecting the passion of national talent for innovation. The hackathon recorded a record-breaking 1,070 innovators, both men and women, distributed across 260 technical and legal teams. These teams underwent rigorous selection processes, with only 24 teams qualifying for the decisive final stage, underscoring the high standards of quality and competitiveness of the submitted projects. The event's sponsor was keen to provide incentive awards to the qualifying teams in recognition of their creative ideas aimed at serving the administrative justice system.
Digital transformation and the future of administrative justice
This hackathon is not a fleeting technological event, but rather part of a comprehensive strategic framework adopted by the Board of Grievances and supported by the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which aims to digitize government services and enhance institutional performance. The event's significance lies in its role as a bridge connecting legal expertise with young technical talent, with the goal of developing AI-based solutions to reduce litigation time, streamline case filing procedures, and improve the accuracy of judgments through big data analysis.
Dialogue sessions to envision the future
The announcement of the results was preceded by a high-level dialogue session with the participation of judicial and technical leaders, which discussed in depth the role of innovation in improving the user experience and raising the quality of judicial services. Discussions focused on how artificial intelligence algorithms can be employed to support judges and court staff, thereby saving time and effort and accelerating the pace of proceedings in administrative courts.
The impact of innovative solutions on the justice system
The recently launched initiative aims to harness the energy of young people to develop artificial intelligence solutions that enhance the efficiency and speed of administrative justice systems. The winning projects seek to provide innovative technological solutions that directly contribute to improving litigation procedures and facilitating services for citizens and residents. This step reflects the Board of Grievances' leadership in adopting modern technologies and attracting creative ideas to bolster its journey towards sustainable institutional excellence, thus solidifying the Kingdom's position as a regional and international leader in smart justice and digital government.
