Jeddah Municipality issues 14,000 health certificates and examines food samples

This achievement is part of the municipality's to ensure the highest levels of food quality and safety for residents and visitors of Jeddah, the "Bride of the Red Sea." Simultaneously, 7,872 diverse food samples were tested by specialized laboratories to verify their freedom from contaminants and compliance with approved Saudi standards.
Jeddah Governorate Municipality's efforts to enhance municipal oversight and public health
The intensive inspection tours conducted by field teams covered health and food establishments located within 11 sub-municipalities in Jeddah Governorate. These ongoing campaigns aim to increase the compliance rate of commercial and health establishments with the municipal regulations and bylaws in force in the Kingdom. This regulatory commitment directly impacts the quality of services provided to consumers and effectively contributes to strengthening the food security system and protecting public health, thus reducing the likelihood of food poisoning or the transmission of diseases through food and beverages.
Digital transformation and facilitating services through the “Baladi” platform
In line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which aims to automate government services and streamline procedures for citizens, residents, and business owners, the Municipality has been keen to implement innovative digital solutions. Relevant authorities have indicated that establishments and individuals can now easily access municipal services through the "Baladi" electronic platform. This platform allows for the issuance and printing of health certificates directly without the need to visit the Municipality headquarters. This is achieved through a direct electronic link to the Ministry of Health's "Seha" platform, saving time and effort while ensuring data accuracy and speed of processing.
