In a significant step reflecting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's deep commitment to humanitarian and developmental causes, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Jazan Region, inaugurated the "Tarham Endowment Fund." The inauguration, attended by Mr. Abdullah Al-Shamrani, Chairman of the National Sub-Committee for the Care of Prisoners' Families and Released Prisoners in the region, and several committee members, marks the beginning of a new phase of institutional and sustainable charitable work in the region.

The National Committee for the Care of Prisoners, Released Prisoners, and Their Families (Tarahum) is one of the Kingdom's leading charitable organizations, established by a Cabinet decision to care for this important segment of society. Through its branches across the Kingdom, Tarahum provides material, moral, and psychological support to the families of prisoners who have temporarily lost their breadwinner, exposing them to economic and social hardships. The Committee also focuses on rehabilitation programs for released prisoners to help them reintegrate into society as productive and contributing members, thus helping to reduce recidivism rates.

The Tarahum Endowment Fund in Jazan aims to establish a sustainable and innovative investment model based on the Islamic concept of Waqf (endowment), ensuring the continuity of charitable giving.
