King Salman Relief Center aid in Yemen, Chad and Lebanon

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center continues its leading role in providing assistance to those in need around the world. The center has recently intensified its activity through a series of field relief operations in Yemen, Chad, Lebanon, and Burkina Faso, in conjunction with the signing of strategic partnership agreements within the Kingdom to enhance health and social care.
The Kingdom's leading role in humanitarian work
These initiatives are a continuation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's longstanding commitment to providing aid to affected and disaster-stricken populations. The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, established in 2015, serves as the Kingdom's humanitarian arm. The Center aims to deliver assistance without discrimination, relying on reliability and rigorous international standards to ensure that aid reaches those who need it most. These efforts reflect the Kingdom's commitment to Vision 2030, which places volunteer and humanitarian work at the heart of its priorities to promote international solidarity.
Details of aid in Africa and Yemen
As part of its ongoing projects in Africa, the center distributed 1,407 food baskets in the Lake Chad , benefiting 8,442 individuals from the most vulnerable groups, as part of its 2026 in-kind assistance distribution plan. In West Africa, specifically in Burkina Faso , the center distributed 1,500 food baskets in the town of Koumsilga, benefiting 1,500 families (9,000 individuals) in support of food security.
As for the Republic of Yemen , which has the highest priority on the center’s agenda, (2,500) cartons of dates were distributed in the Tarim district of Hadramawt Governorate, targeting (15,000) individuals from the most needy families and people with disabilities.
Winter support in Lebanon
In a related context, the center concluded its "Kanaf Lebanon 4" project for 2025, which focused on providing winter clothing. The project included the distribution of 11,700 vouchers that enabled orphans, people with disabilities, and needy families in various Lebanese governorates to purchase winter clothing from contracted stores, thus helping to alleviate the harsh cold for these vulnerable groups.
Strategic partnerships to enhance inpatient care
The center's efforts were not limited to external work, but also included signing important memoranda of understanding in Riyadh to enhance and develop internal humanitarian work, where the Assistant General Supervisor for Planning and Development, Dr. Aqeel bin Jumaan Al-Ghamdi, signed several agreements, including:
- Memorandum with the "Iqraa" Educational Association: To empower and rehabilitate people with disabilities through specialized educational programs.
- Memorandum with the Rheumatism Patients Care Charity: To provide medical and psychological support to patients in need and to spread awareness.
- Memorandum with the Family Protection Association: Aims to preserve the rights of vulnerable groups from domestic violence.
- Memorandum with the "No Problem" Health Association: To provide health care through empowering volunteers.
These agreements and field projects underscore the comprehensiveness of the King Salman Relief Center’s strategy, which balances rapid response to international crises with building the capacity of the local community and developing the institutional charitable work system.
