Italian cuisine on UNESCO's list: A global triumph for heritage and identity

This decision was made during the meetings of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in New Delhi, India, where the Italian application, formally submitted in 2023, was approved. It was one of 68 carefully considered nominations, which also included the recognition of the Indian festival of Diwali.
