The Ministry of Islamic Affairs organizes awareness programs for pilgrims in international languages (1447 AH)

As part of its ongoing efforts to serve pilgrims, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance , represented by the General Secretariat for Islamic Awareness in Hajj, Umrah and Visitation, is organizing a comprehensive package of outreach programs designed to educate Umrah pilgrims during the current Umrah season of 1447 AH. This initiative complements the comprehensive system of religious and guidance services provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to visitors of the Holy Mosque.
Scientific lessons and lectures in multiple languages
The central area and mosques surrounding the Grand Mosque witnessed the launch of an intensive series of daily religious lessons, sermons, and faith-based lectures. These programs are delivered by a distinguished group of official preachers from the Ministry, supported by a team of skilled translators proficient in several international languages. This ensures that the educational message reaches the diverse nationalities and cultures visiting Mecca, facilitating their performance of the rituals with ease and tranquility.
Program themes: From religious rituals to intellectual security
The outreach programs focus on a range of essential topics of interest to pilgrims, including:
- Clarification of the rituals: A detailed explanation of the steps of Umrah step by step according to the Prophetic guidance.
- Creed and Monotheism: Clarifying the issues of correct creed and correcting misconceptions.
- Moderation and centrism: Promoting the concepts of tolerance in Islam and rejecting extremism.
- Intellectual security: Intellectually fortifying pilgrims and answering their legitimate inquiries with transparency and clarity.
- Glorifying the Holy City: Reminding people of the sanctity of Mecca and the proper etiquette for being in it.
Vision context and the Kingdom's efforts
These programs are part of a strategic framework aligned with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 , which places great emphasis on enriching the religious and cultural experience of pilgrims. The Kingdom is not only developing infrastructure and expanding urban areas in the holy sites, but also prioritizes awareness and guidance to ensure that the Umrah pilgrimage is a complete spiritual journey, free from hardship or any religious errors.
Expected impact of awareness programs
These efforts are expected to raise awareness among pilgrims to the Grand Mosque and reduce unintentional errors that may occur during the performance of the rituals. Furthermore, providing simultaneous translation in multiple languages reflects the Kingdom's global message of embracing Muslims from all corners of the earth and presenting a positive image of moderate Islam, thus reinforcing the Kingdom's position as the heart of the Islamic world and the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
